EMV Capital Backing UK Innovation – Joins BVCA Investment Compact and Innovate UK Investor Partnership

EMV Capital is proud to announce its participation in two initiatives aimed at unlocking capital and accelerating growth across the UK’s innovation economy.

We have been selected for the Innovate UK Investor Partnerships Programme and have also joined the BVCA Investment Compact for Venture Capital and Growth Equity.  These two government-supported initiatives reflect our continued commitment to investing in the UK’s deep tech and life sciences sectors, securing new sources of long-term capital, and helping UK companies scale at home.

The Innovate UK investor programme enables eligible companies to access Innovate UK grant funding alongside accredited private investors. By co-investing with Innovate UK, we aim to help businesses advance their R&D projects and accelerate the commercialisation of breakthrough technologies.

As a signatory to the BVCA Investment Compact, we will work alongside leading fund managers to build long-term, constructive relationships with UK pension investors. The Compact aims to release over £50bn of pension capital by 2030, enabling UK savers to access high-growth unlisted equities while simultaneously increasing investment into the UK’s world-leading science and technology sectors.

These initiatives are closely aligned with EMV Capital’s mission of backing UK deep tech and life sciences companies and supporting their international growth.

Dr. Ilian Iliev, CEO of EMV Capital, commented:

“Attracting long-term, patient capital to the VC ecosystem is essential to transforming the UK innovation system and scaling innovative UK enterprises. These two initiatives enable us to work more closely with both government and long-term  institutional investors, making good use of the UK’s Venture Capital industry infrastructure to accelerate the growth of the UK’s science and technology-driven businesses.”
